Agriturismo Frattavecchia is an ancient owner's house, entirely built in red bricks, the typical handmade construction material of Trasimeno lake region. We are at Frattavecchia village, very close to Castiglione del Lago city. For the last two centuries, many generations of peasants families have lived dedicating themselves to the cultivation of typical crops using the fertile soil of Trasimeno.

The two former upstairs flats, the great granary and wine cellar,and the groundfloor stables are now 7 comfortable apartments, three on the groundfloor and four on the top floor. All the apartments are furnished according to the local tradition, but with many comforts: a living room with TV, a fully equipped cooking area, heating system and bathroom with shower. All apartments are similar, but we tried to make each one unique. Some are equipped with fireplace, others have a small loft with a wood stair to create an atmosphere from the old times.

Each apartment has its independent entrance from outside, and there is external garden furniture for outdoor meals. The impressive construction is sweetened by two external stairs - South and North - which lead the garden to the upstairs apartments. The panoramic swimming pool with dressing rooms, the tennis court, the10 - minute walking fishing lake, the huge garden and the hundreds of olive groves surrounding the main house, contribute to create a special atmosphere, full of relax and tranquillity. For those who love other sports there is also the possibility of practicing them; just a few kilometres away from Frattavecchia, there are horse riding areas, sailing boats, golf court and for those who enjoy strong emotions, even a paragliding place.

The farmhouse is available for ceremonies (weddings and other celebrations)
and events in general (for business and/or for relatives/friends) with catering service
for groups.

Services and activities
Swimming pool  just a few meters from the building, reserved for our guests, there is a big swimming pool. Its particular shape with a shallow part that gradually gets deeper, provides an area for children to swim and play.


Tennis court   -  Mini-soccer  - Volleyball
close to the swimming pool, there is a tennis court which can also be used for mini-football or volleyball. These two structures have been built in the most panoramic zone of the residence, creating a natural terrace, from which it's possible to enjoy an impressive panoramic view dominating the valley and the Trasimeno Lake with its islands: Polvese Island, Minore Island and Maggiore Island.

Archery Equipment
it’s possible for our guests to relax while doing one of the most antique sports in the world: the archery equipment is located inside our olive groves.



Bikes
free bikes for excursions in the surrounding area are available. 5 km from us there is a special cycling route around Trasimeno lake.


Table Tennis
in the garden, there is a table tennis table to have fun with relaxing games for two or exciting tournaments between our guests.



Catering and typical products
~ Catering service: there are many charming restaurants in our area, but if you desire, we can provide you with a catering service for lunch and dinner time (it must be booked 2 weeks before your arrival and for the minimum of 10 people).
~ Typical products: we produce exquisite extra virgin olive oil which, along with wine and other typical products of our area, you can buy at our agriturismo.
~ Inside our garden there is a kitchen garden where during the summer it is possible to get fresh and organic vegetables every day for your meals and it is also possible to get eggs daily from our hen house.

Playground
very near to the house, there is a playground with swing, slide and seesaw.



Nature information
in some strategic points of our agriturismo, you will find some written information about the secrets of our land: typical birds and animals, characteristics of our olive groves and Umbrian oil, you will find out about legends of the lake and its islands.

all the apartments have tv.



Dogs and cats are welcome
They are permitted at our discretion with an additional cost.




Massage and relax
it’s possible to book professional services such as relaxing massages.




Courses/Other Activities
on request, we organize:
~ Ceramics/pottery/handicrafts; workshops in the open air.
~ Typical cooking course with expert cooks of real Umbrian cuisine.
~ Crochet and Knitting workshop.
~ Activities and learning games targeted to children with specialized staff.
Prices on request. Most of the courses and activities are in Italian language and should be booked either at the moment of the confirmation of the apartment or three weeks before your arrival.

Parking
you can park inside our agriturismo.



Fishing
about 300 mt away, there is a fishing lake where you can fish ( we do not provide equipment).




Barbecue equipment and outdoor furniture
the garden is furnished with gazebos and garden tables where you can have meals in the open air. You can also prepare barbecues…



Laundry
a laundry equipped with a a washing machine, iron and appropriate space where you can dry clothes are at your disposal…
